    Your student’s high school career is moving by at a fast pace, making proper planning for college imperative. We help bring college admission into tighter focus and begin setting the stage for the application process. With you, we exhort your student to focus on positive trends in grades, test scores and leadership roles, as well as activities both within and outside of the school environment.

    Andrea (Andi) Frimmer, M.Ed., the “get your kid into college” lady, will:

    • Add information that captures the essence of the student
    • Maintain a Brag Book that chronicles all extracurricular and school-based activities
    • Review course selection plan that challenges the student and assists in achieving his or her long-term
      college goals
    • Incorporate remediation of weaknesses into action plan
    • Track grades to insure successful completion of long-term goals
    • Compare grades to academic goals quarterly
    • Determine appropriate summer activities based on student’s interests and expertise
    • Incorporate programs that will enhance college application, such as internships and summer scholar
      programs of interest
    • Participate in SAT prep course for PSAT exam in October of junior year
    • Participate in PSAT exam in October
    • Take practice ACT/SAT in spring of tenth grade
    • Prepare for and take qualified SAT II subject tests
    • Prepare for and take AP exams in May
    • Determine demographics of consequence
    • Assess tier or selectivity level of colleges or universities
    • Choose 15 to 20 schools that fit the preliminary selection criteria
    • Follow these schools throughout the year for compatibility with your needs
    • Create a touring schedule and, throughout your son’s or daughter’s sophomore year, visit campuses that seem to fit your selection requirements
